| Puppy Class (unofficial) | 6-9 months |

The Judging System
| Excellent | May only be awarded to a dog which comes very close to the ideal standard of the breed. |
| Very good | May only be awarded to a dog which possesses the typical features of its breed, which has well-balanced proportions and is in correct condition. |
| Good | Is to be awarded to a dog that possesses the main features of its breed however showing faults provided these are not concealed. |
| Sufficient | Must be awarded to a dog which corresponds adequately to its breed, without possessing the generally accepted characteristics or whose physical condition leaves something to be desired. |
| Disqualified | To be awarded to dogs which: a) are untypical of the breed in appearance, or have faults that are listed as disqualifying faults in the breed standard. b) have such anatomical defects that have a negative impact on the dog’s health and soundness, particularly with regard to the origin/function/use of the breed. c) are male dogs that do not have normally developed and normally positioned testicles. d) demonstrate aggression or a clear tendency to flight in the ring, i.e. a dog which has panicked and shied away from the judge, and where it has not been possible to approach the dog in a natural manner |
| The following quality grades are awarded in competition classes: | |
| Certificate quality (CQ) | A dog that is typically and correctly built in every respect, with such outstanding merits and such insignificant faults that it is an excellent example of breeding, may be deemed to be of certificate quality (CQ). Certificate quality can be awarded to as many dogs as the judge considers being of such quality. |
| Honour Prize (HP) | Exceptionally promising puppies can be awarded an Honour Prize (HP). In progeny classes and breeders’ classes, the Honour Prizes are awarded to those groups which are of uniform and excellent quality. |
All The Acronyms
| CQ | Certificate quality | The judge thinks the dog deserves to be a champion. |
| HP | Honour Prize | The judge thinks the dog is promising. (Or this is also used in breedings Class & Progeny Class) |
| CAC | Certificate | You need 3x CAC to receive a champion title. |
| Res. CAC | Reserve Certificate | This you get when the dog before you in Best Bitch or Dog received the CAC. |
| CACIB | Certificat d’Aptitude au Champion | have earned, in 3 different countries, under 3 different judges, 4 CACIB. |
| Res. CACIB | Reserve Certificat d’Aptitude au Champion | This you get when the dog before you in Best Bitch or Dog received the CACIB. |
| BOS | Best of Sex | Best bitch or dog is the winner of the particular class of the particular breed |
| BOB | Best of Breed | Best of Breed is either the bitch or the dog. (If bitch, the dog becomes BOS and vice versa.) |
| BIG | Best in Group | Best in Group is chosen from the BOB. There are placements from 1-3. If you are the first place, you will be eligible to compete for BIS. |
| BIS | Best in Show | This is the best dog on the dog show. There are 4 placements here. |
